What is OCD?
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental health disorder characterized by intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, and anxiety.
People with OCD experience persistent and unwanted thoughts, feelings, and urges that can be difficult to control. These thoughts and behaviors can interfere with daily life and cause distress.
Other common symptoms of OCD are debilitating anxiety, constant fear, and depression.
Additionally, it is not uncommon for people suffering from OCD to start to become depressed and isolated.
As a result of these signs and symptoms of OCD, OCD has been ranked as one of the top ten most debilitating conditions by the World Health Organization (WHO).
