Our Client Reviews
If you having anxiety while you are driving you should give Brad a call. I never thought I would get behind the wheel of a car again. After a few driving sessions with Brad he got the confidence and tools I needed to start driving again. Thank you Brad!
I really can’t even begin to explain how much Brad has changed my life and got me to where I needed to be and seriously saved me. If you think you’re struggling at all, please give OCD Treatment a shot. Brad is an amazing person and he will always have an amazing impact on my life. He could save yours as well by teaching you to get comfortable with being uncomfortable and that is how I live my life and I have an amazing life now all thanks to Brad and the treatment he provided for me.
I highly recommend Brad Wilson for OCD therapy. He has been instrumental to improving our teenage daughter’s life. He has been excellent with the family component as well. He is highly skilled, personable, and professional. He also appropriately communicates when he sees his client needs treatment outside of his scope and recommends referrals as needed, but he stays committed to his client every step of the way. He is flexible and great to work with and demonstrates he truly cares.
Brad Wilson is the genuine article for OCD treatment and related issues. He knows whereof he speaks. I was very pleased with my son's immediate progress in utilizing the toolbox of skills Brad gave to him for vanquishing his OCD. His growth in cementing these skills throughout three weeks of daily sessions was exceptional and the follow-up sessions were important as well. Well worth paying for. When the patient wants to get better, this is life-changing treatment.
I am not sure that my words will be able to fully express how amazing Brad has been for our 15 year old son. Before therapy at the OCD Treatment Centre, our son was continually living in the OCD cycle. He was unable to attend school, social events were challenging and life in general was very tough. We could not find any treatment program like Brad's in Australia so we flew to the USA. This was a huge gamble but I am so pleased to say that my gut instinct was right, this program worked! Our son was so nervous and did not believe that this therapy would help him. Within 5 days, he was officially out of the OCD cycle which allowed Brad time to work on relapse prevention and depressive symptoms. Brad's kind, empathetic, understanding and relatable personality was the key to this therapy working. He made a wonderful connection with our son to ensure he felt safe so that he could trust him. I could not recommend Brad's intensive therapy program more highly for anyone who is severely impacted by the OCD cycle. I will be forever grateful for all that he has done for our son and for our family.
As a parent of a young adult with OCD, I can honestly say that Intensive ERP treatment with Brad gave my daughter her life back! (And the rest of the family too!) Within days of treatment with him, she was a different person. The understanding, tools and one-on-one support he gave her during the process made all the difference. Brad taught the entire family the tools we needed to manage her OCD. She now has a great job as a medical assistant and will be getting her bachelors degree soon. She is currently only on a very low dose of one medication, (and is weaning off of that one) You cannot imagine what a miracle this is to us after dealing with OCD for over a decade. My daughter was diagnosed with OCD at age 10. She was put on medication and did CBT therapy. For many years this was enough. But when she went away to college she begin to struggle with bad thoughts and OCD behaviors. We went back to childhood doctors, adjusted her medications and she struggled on for a couple years. Then the pandemic hit! Her life (and ours) became a nightmare. Her germ phobia made it impossible to function. She watched our every move and panicked when we touched anything and everything. Her anxiety became depression and she was unable to work. She spent many days lying in her dark bedroom and talked about not wanting to live anymore. She was referred to an adult psychiatrist who put her on more medication. At one point she was on three different medications but continued to get worse. The psychiatrist mentioned ERP (exposure response prevention). This was a term we’d never heard before. After some research we discovered it’s the only therapy that truly helps with OCD. We first tried a recommended online version…this was 30 minute sessions, once a week. Immediately this therapist realized their program would not have enough support for our girl. She recommended IOP (Intensive Outpatient Treatment). After days of phone calls we found it nearly impossible to find this in Southern CA. Lots of IOP centers said they treated OCD…but did not use ERP. Then we found Brad! As I said at the beginning…he gave us our daughter back and ALL of us our lives. He explained OCD in a way we’d never heard before. And the fact that he lives with OCD too not only means he really understands, but he’s an inspiration as well. He’s been great when we’ve occasionally needed a refresher or had a new situation arise. For example he recently helped educate our daughter’s serious boyfriend. He now understands and has the tools he needs. This treatment was not cheap, but worth every cent. We are so thankful for Brad and for ERP!
Finding a right therapist to treat OCD is like pulling a white ball full of 100 black ones blind folded. We found out that our son was suffering from OCD a year ago. Since then, we went to see a psychologist with 30 years of experience. Her method made him worse, MUCH worse. Then we found a therapist, a big group practice treating OCD patients. I can’t say if that helped him or not, just cost a ton of money and no results. That therapist recommended IOP. We looked into several well-known treatment centers. I read the reviews and researched. They are more like a one size fits all treatment center. Just like our therapist, they just follow what they learned in school and apply the same concept to every single person. But OCD is vast, you cannot treat everyone the same. Then we found Brad. He also had OCD and understands people with OCD. His treatment is based on each client’s specific needs. He custom tailors each treatment after doing the assessment. When he said our son will get better in three weeks, I did not believe him. When three weeks was over, our son is better. Therapy was expensive, but worth every single penny. Do not waste your time and money on all these other places for treatment, you really need to find someone who can understand and treat OCD. Our family has done vast amounts of research, countless hours were spend reading, watching, and listening. We can save you all that time and money by recommending Brad! If you or your child suffers from OCD, make an appointment with Brad, and you can thank me after the treatment is completed. One last thing, Brad CARES about his patient genuinely.
I have had two children that have gone through the intensive OCD treatment with Brad. With my first, I can say that we were nervous about it. But Brad was able to put us both at ease. OCD feels very isolating and shameful to the one suffering. But Brad has himself suffered from OCD and other anxieties and he communicates acceptance and empathy. Both my children entered with severe OCD and left with the OCD very much under control and ready to live a normal life. I highly recommend The OCD Treatment Center.
I have been working with Brad for over a year now, and he was the first therapist I saw who understood what I was going through, who showed me compassion, and who has helped me start to build compassion for myself. Brad is highly experienced when it comes to treating OCD and helping people learn about it. He uses ERP, which is the most effective form of treatment for OCD, and he has helped me realize that I can still live the life that I want to, and I don't have to live in fear of my obsessions. Brad has been there for me through some of my hardest times (he's really easy to reach out to), and I feel extremely supported. I'm very grateful for Brad and the OCD Treatment Center.
Brad helped our child tremendously with severe OCD. We first met him when our child was eleven and the OCD was interfering with our child’s ability to function normally in schoolwork and interactions with others and entertaining suicidal thoughts because of the pain. Our child then went through a 3 week intensive involving ERP, exposure response prevention, which is the gold standard for treatment of OCD. It was not easy and it does sometimes create a little more anxiety at first, but you have to hang in there. Our child responded very well and returned to non clinical levels before the end of 3 weeks, making us as parents feel like we had our child back. We credit this to Brad and his abilities as a therapist as well as his incredible empathy, nonjudgmental manner, kindness, and gentleness. He truly understands the disease and is very supportive. Our child continues to see Brad for maintenance and fine-tuning and we really trust his heart and his desire to help and care for others.
