Polly Tanaka, MA, AMFT is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at University of Southern California and her Master’s Degree at Azusa Pacific University.
Polly’s desire to help those with OCD was shaped by observing the challenges a loved one suffering from OCD faced during childhood. She saw firsthand the stressors OCD can have not only on the individual, but how strongly it impacts loved ones around them.
Throughout her schooling and experience working as a clinician, her passion for working with those with OCD continued to develop, and it is now her goal to help as many individuals with OCD to live a full, fulfilling life.
Polly is experienced in working with those with OCD using ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) treatment and a variety of other evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Polly’s nonjudgmental, calm, empathetic demeanor aids in building a strong relationship to help guide clients to a place of healing and more fulfilled life.
