Madasen McGrath-Wilson, MA, AMFT, APCC
OCD & ANXIETY SPECIALIST
Madasen McGrath-Wilson, MA, AMFT, APCC is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of California. Madasen received her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University, where she provided therapy with individuals of all ages facing a wide variety of mental health related issues. Additionally, Madasen has also worked within an OCD and anxiety treatment center settings for over three years where she has gained firsthand experience working with clients suffering from severe or extreme OCD and anxiety.
Madasen’s passion for helping others with OCD was born out of her own personal experience with the condition. For more than 10 years, Madasen suffered from what is often referred to as “Pure Obsessional OCD” – a form of OCD that is common amongst individuals suffering from the condition. As is unfortunately the case for many people with OCD, Madasen’s OCD went undiagnosed for years on end, causing her an indescribable amount of mental anguish.
Throughout her schooling and experience working as a clinician, her passion for working with those with OCD continued to develop, and it is now her goal to help as many individuals with OCD to live a full, fulfilling life.
After finally learning more about OCD and the many different ways in which it can manifest, Madasen ultimately worked up the courage to commit herself to the OCD treatment process. Today, Madasen has successfully achieved recovery and is now in a place where OCD rarely affects her daily life. Madasen’s mission now is to support others in overcoming OCD and anxiety so that they too, can experience the same reclamation of life that she experienced.
As someone from a Christian upbringing, Madasen enjoys supporting others in need of navigating OCD and anxiety treatment from a faith-based perspective. Madasen understands first-hand that the OCD and anxiety treatment process is not easy, but firmly believes that living with untreated OCD and anxiety is exponentially more difficult in comparison. For this reason, Madasen is devoted to taking an empathetic approach to treatment while simultaneously supporting her clients in achieving their treatment objectives and goals.
Madasen and Bradley Wilson, the Founder and Director of The OCD Treatment Center, do not have any relation to one another.
