Our intensive OCD treatment is unlike any other. We go beyond traditional exposure and response prevention techniques to provide you with a comprehensive framework that addresses the root causes of your OCD.

Our therapists are unable to offer our IOP program to clients virtually who live outside of California due to state licensing rules, so we get clients all the time who travel to us to complete this program. We have had clients from coast to coast here in America and also all over the world such as Switzerland, Dubai, and Australia.

This can be a bit daunting so we included information below about our program to help clients decide if it is a good fit for them.

We are located 20 minutes from the ocean in Newport Beach, California. Our space and our staff are warm and inviting so all our clients feel at home even when home might be far away.

In just 3 weeks, our intensive outpatient treatment program will equip you with the tools and strategies to overcome your OCD challenges when you return home.

Our program is carefully designed to be intensive, allowing for focused and accelerated progress toward recovery to ensure clients feel confident in their skills when returning home. It is not uncommon for our clients to be out of the OCD cycle within the three-week intensive treatment program.

Hyper-personalized Recovery Plans:
Every client completes The OCD Recovery Test and receives a tailored OCD Recovery Profile. This ensures that treatment is not one-size-fits-all but matched to the person’s exact needs, subtype, and stage of recovery.
More Than ERP™:
While many centers focus only on ERP, we integrate ERP with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, family therapy, and trauma-informed practices to treat the whole person.
Separation from OCD:
We teach clients how to clearly distinguish their identity from OCD. This empowers lasting recovery, not just symptom reduction.
Tools For Life:

About our Intensive Outpatient Program

Where to Stay

Our program is entirely outpatient and does not offer any supportive housing component, therefore clients need to find their own accommodations. We are conveniently located close to John Wayne Airport resulting in numerous hotels and short-term rental housing locations in the area. What about the Area?

We may be a bit biased, but Newport Beach is a wonderful area to visit and to stay. The IOP takes three hours a day, but you still have time to explore the area on your own if you would like so some options for what to do outside of the program are included below.

Newport Beach Ocean and Pier

There are so many lovely beaches here to spend some time in the sun. Even in the cooler winter, the beach can be a beautiful and healing place to spend time at while you are here.

Huntington Beach

A common local travel stop, Huntington Beach is right next to Newport Beach, and has many cute restaurants and surfing spots to enjoy.

Crystal Cove

Located about 20 minutes from our treatment center, Crystal Cove is a beach nature preserve with restaurants, hiking, and at low tide there are tide pools to see little critters!

Los Angeles

Depending on where in Los Angeles you would like to visit, it is usually a 45 minute – 1.5 hour drive from our treatment center! It has so many activities for a weekend day trip such as amazing museums, great food, and lots of tourist attractions.

Palm Springs

If you are wondering what to do over the weekend, a trip out to Palm Springs is a lovely way to spend a few days. It is home to unique restaurants, a lovely place to golf or lounge by a pool, and Joshua Tree National Park is a short drive away!

San Diego

San Diego is a scenic ~2 hour drive from our location, and is home to some of California’s best beaches, unique museums, and so much more! Great for a weekend away or a day trip, it has so much to offer for when you are here engaging in treatment.

About Our Intensive Treatment Program

OCD intensive treatment programs for adults offer a comprehensive and specialized approach to help individuals effectively manage and overcome Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). These programs are designed to provide intensive therapy and support to those who are struggling with the debilitating effects of OCD in a short period of time, which can be very beneficial for someone who is coming from out of state.

It is important to note that our intensive program is one-on-one between the client and the therapist for the entirety of the program. This allows us to create an individualized treatment plan for each of our clients and adjust it based on how the client is progressing and what treatments are proving most effective.

At our OCD treatment center, we use exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and other treatment modalities such as our More Than ERP™ and More Than CBT™ framework, along with other evidence-based interventions tailored specifically to each individual’s needs.

What happens after I finish the OCD Intensive Treatment Program?

This can depend on your level of recovery and also where you are traveling from. Some states and countries allow for virtual follow-up care after an individual finishes an intensive outpatient program for mental health in another state, but some states and countries do not. If you are interested in follow-up care after the program is completed, let us know and we will look into the specific rules in your location to see what your options are when you return home.

The primary goal of this program is to provide individuals with the tools they need to manage their obsessions and compulsions effectively. An OCD Intensive Treatment Program focuses on equipping individuals with long-term coping strategies that they can apply beyond the program. This includes relapse prevention techniques, stress management skills, and ongoing support systems.

Though, sometimes clients would like to continue to meet with their therapist following completion of the program. If available to your location, we can offer weekly follow-up sessions to ensure clients continue the progress made during the program.

If unavailable, we are able to collaborate care with a provider in your area you want to continue working with upon returning home. That way, the therapist you worked with here can help provide your therapist with knowledge and context of the treatment you received while working with us.
