About Relationship OCD (ROCD)
Relationship OCD, or ROCD, is a type of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) that is characterized by intrusive thoughts and doubts about the strength of one’s romantic relationship. People with ROCD may experience persistent worries about the quality of their relationship, their partner’s feelings, and their own feelings. They may also experience intrusive thoughts about their partner’s attractiveness or whether they are truly in love. These thoughts can lead to extreme anxiety and distress, leading to compulsive behaviors aimed at reducing the anxiety and can cause significant disruption in the relationship.
